ℹ️ Information: Adding a user to an MTU allows the individual to communicate with that specific MTU. Additional permissions can be assigned to allow prescribing under the associated provider's name.

📋 Overview

A Medical Team Unit (MTU) allows designated users to collaborate with an assigned provider. Users can be added to an existing MTU and granted prescribing permissions when applicable.

This guide outlines how to access the provider's MTU, add users, manage prescribing permissions, and remove users when necessary.

🔐 Prerequisites

Before beginning, ensure the following information is available:

  • Appropriate permission level to access Management in Savas Software.

  • Name of the individual(s) being added to the MTU.

  • Name of the provider to whom the individual(s) will be assigned.

🚀 Accessing the Provider's MTU

  1. On the Savas Software home screen, select Management (based on the assigned permission level).

  2. In the Management drop-down menu, select Providers.

  3. On the Provider Management page, locate the appropriate provider and select the Provider Detail icon.

  4. Within the Provider Detail page, select the MTU tab.

➕ Adding a User to the MTU

  1. Locate the Quick Add field within the MTU tab.

  2. Begin typing the name of the individual being added to the MTU.

  3. Select the appropriate user from the available results.

  4. Verify that the newly added individual appears in the User list.

ℹ️ Information: Once added, the individual can communicate with the assigned MTU. Prescribing permissions must be enabled separately.

💊 Assigning Prescribing Permissions

To allow an MTU member to prescribe under the assigned provider's name:

  1. Locate the individual within the User list.

  2. Select the Can Prescribe For Provider checkbox to the right of the user's name.

  3. Verify that the checkbox is selected.

⚠️ Important: If the Can Prescribe For Provider checkbox is not selected, the individual will not be able to prescribe under the provider's name.

🗑️ Removing a User from the MTU

To remove an individual who no longer requires access to the assigned MTU:

  1. Locate the individual within the User list.

  2. Uncheck the Can Prescribe For Provider checkbox.

  3. Select the Trash Can icon associated with the individual.

⚠️ Important: Prescribing permissions must be unchecked before removing an individual from the MTU.
